We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use this site.

Our hosting, analytics, and advertising providers process limited technical information when you visit, which may include:

You can use the interaction checker without creating an account. Anonymous search analytics are not linked to a profile, email address, or raw IP address in our application database.

2. Anonymous Usage Analytics

We collect anonymous, non-identifiable information about drug searches to improve our service and support public health research. This includes:

• Drug codes searched (internal identifiers — not your typed text)
• Date and time of the search
• Approximate ZIP code, country, or city supplied by our hosting provider when available, or a ZIP code you enter
• Whether your check returned any serious interaction warnings

These search records use a one-way session hash that changes each day. The analytics records do not contain your email, profile ID, name, or raw IP address and are not joined to signed-in profile data.

Aggregate, de-identified trend data (e.g., "warfarin searches increased 20% this month") may be licensed to pharmaceutical researchers and public health organizations. Individual-level data is never sold or shared.

3. Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

• Recent drugs: For anonymous users, recent drugs are stored in browser local storage. If you sign in, your recent drugs and saved lists are also stored with your profile so they can sync across devices.
• Session: If you sign in, an HTTP-only, signed session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
• Analytics: We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This data is aggregated and anonymous.
• Advertising: Google AdSense uses cookies to serve relevant ads. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

4. Google AdSense

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense uses cookies to personalize ads based on your browsing history. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

5. Medication Data and Camera Scans

Anonymous interaction checks are stored as drug identifiers and pair-level results for aggregate analysis, without a profile ID or email address. If you choose to sign in, recent drugs and saved medication lists are stored with your profile to provide synchronization.

When you use the optional camera scan, the selected image is sent to our AI processing provider solely to extract visible medication names. CDI does not save the uploaded image in its application database.

Drug interaction reference data is sourced primarily from U.S. FDA drug labeling via openFDA and from the U.S. National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health.

7. Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
