Contraindicated in patients with diabetes. Avoid in patients with renal impairment (GFR <60 mL/min). Dual RAS blockade increases risks of hypotension, hyperkalemia, and renal dysfunction.

Monitor renal function periodically in patients receiving candesartan and NSAID therapy.
